Hake is a delicate and slightly sweet fish that firms up when cooked. It is a favourite in Spain, so much so they refer to it as The king of the fish (El Rey del Pez). Many Brits enjoy it on holiday but do not eat it at home. We want to change that. Hake lends itself to various cooking styles. It's ready to defrost and use or cook straight from frozen as we freeze it in portions. It's incredible baked in the oven with cherry tomatoes, olives and red onions or why not try our hake recipe - it's easy and delicious!
Hake is an excellent food for anyone looking for a high-protein, low-calorie dinner choice. It is a lean fish, the perfect choice for a lean dinner.
