Product Details
Trout, often overlooked due to the widespread availability of salmon, is a remarkable fish with a flavour profile that rivals its more famous counterpart. Some even argue that it offers a superior taste. We take great pride in sourcing our trout from a supplier conveniently located near our factory, ensuring that our customers receive the freshest and highest quality fish.
Trout has a slightly nutty and sweet flavour that delights the palate, accompanied by succulent and tender flakes. As an oily fish, trout pairs exceptionally well with generous amounts of oil or butter during cooking, allowing its natural flavours to shine. Despite its incredible taste, trout lends itself beautifully to various cooking techniques, making it a versatile choice for any culinary creation.
To make your cooking experience more convenient, we have taken the extra step of filleting the trout for you. This means the fillets are ready to be effortlessly added to your pan straight from the pack. One of our preferred cooking methods involves placing the fillets skin-side down in a frying pan and basting them with flavoured butter, such as a combination of parsley and garlic, until they are perfectly cooked. This method enhances the flavour of the trout and creates an aromatic and mouthwatering dish. Alternatively, you can steam the fillets to appreciate their natural flavours fully.
Incorporating trout into your diet allows you to meet the NHS recommendation of consuming oily fish at least once a week. Trout is a source of Omega-3 fatty acids which contribute to the normal functioning of the heart, brain, and vision and helps regulate cholesterol levels. Additionally, trout is a source of Vitamin B12, which promotes energy metabolism and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Discover the exceptional taste and health benefits of our meticulously prepared trout today. Whether you're looking for a delicious alternative to salmon or want to explore new flavours, trout is a fantastic choice.
